IQALUIT, Nunavut (November 20, 2019) - Speaker Simeon Mikkungwak today issued the following statement:

“Former Member of the Legislative Assembly Peter Kattuk passed away earlier today following a long illness. Peter represented the constituency of Hudson Bay for two terms and I join his family and former constituents in mourning his passing. Peter was well-respected for his commitment to public service and his environmental advocacy.”
