Adam Arreak Lightstone

Adam Arreak Lightstone was re-elected in the general election held on October 25, 2021, to represent the constituency of Iqaluit-Manirajak in the 6th Legislative Assembly of Nunavut.

Mr. Lightstone previously sat as a Member of the 5th Legislative Assembly, during which he served as Co-Chair of the Standing Committee on Social Wellness and a member of the Management and Services Board. 

Following graduation from Iqaluit’s Inuksuk High School, Mr. Lightstone received an Advanced Accounting Diploma from St. Lawrence College and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Finance from Laurentian University.

Prior to his election, Mr. Lightstone served as a Senior Fiscal Advisor in the Expenditure Management Division of the Government of Nunavut’s Department of Finance. Mr. Lightstone has been an active community volunteer with the Alianait Arts Festival, the Qajuqturvik Food Centre and the Iqaluit Humane Society. He has served on the board of directors of the Iqaluit Community Greenhouse Society and has been the Secretary-Treasurer of the Iqaluit BPO Elks Lodge.

Mr. Lightstone’s personal interests include camping, reading and games of strategy.
