Legislative Assembly Welcomes Holiday Season with Participation in the 2020 Christmas Lights Across Canada Program

Dec 3 2020

IQALUIT, Nunavut (December 3, 2020) - The Legislative Assembly of Nunavut joined other Canadian jurisdictions today in illuminating the territory’s official Christmas lights display as part of the 2020 Christmas Lights Across Canada program.

Speaker Quassa said, “Although public health guidelines concerning large gatherings did not allow us to hold the traditional lighting ceremony at the Legislative Assembly, we warmly invite Nunavummiut to view our display of festive lights. During this challenging and unprecedented time, it is more important than ever that we draw strength from the spirit of the season.”
