Members of the Legislative Assembly to Participate in Flag-Raising Ceremony in Solidarity with Greenland

IQALUIT, Nunavut (January 20, 2026)

Speaker David Joanasie and Members of the Legislative Assembly will participate in a flag-raising ceremony at 1:15pm today at the Legislative Assembly.

Speaker Joanasie stated that:

As Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, I am proud to express our support for the people of Kalaallit Nunaat. Our Legislative Assembly is committed to a stable and peaceful circumpolar region.

Members of the public are invited to attend the ceremony.
