IQALUIT, Nunavut (September 20, 2022) - The Legislative Assembly’s Standing Committee on Oversight of Government Operations and Public Accounts will hold a televised hearing from September 26-27, 2022, on the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 annual reports of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Nunavut.

Senior officials from the Government of Nunavut will also appear as witnesses at the televised hearing.
“The standing committee’s televised hearing will allow Members of the Legislative Assembly to consider the extent to which the Government of Nunavut is taking action to address the Information and Privacy Commissioner’s recommendations,” said Committee Chairperson George Hickes, MLA for Iqaluit-Tasiluk.
The hearing begins at 1:30pm on Monday, September 26, 2022. The hearing will be televised on local community cable stations and direct-to-home satellite service on the Bell (channel 513) and Shaw (channel 289 - classic / channel 489 - new lineup) networks.
