IQALUIT, Nunavut (August 19, 2025) - The Legislative Assembly’s Standing Committee on Oversight of Government Operations and Public Accounts will hold a televised hearing from September 4-5, 2025, on the Report of the Auditor General of Canada to the Legislative Assembly of Nunavut: Public Housing in Nunavut.

Senior officials from the Nunavut Housing Corporation and NCC Development Limited will also appear as witnesses at the televised hearings.
“Our televised hearing will provide an opportunity for Members of the Legislative Assembly to consider the extent to which the Nunavut Housing Corporation is taking action to address recommendations made by the Auditor General,” said Committee Chairperson George Hickes, MLA for Iqaluit-Tasiluk.
The standing committee’s televised hearing commences at 11:00am in the Chamber of the Legislative Assembly on Thursday, September 4, 2025. The hearing will be televised on local community cable stations and direct-to-home satellite service on the Bell (channel 513) and Shaw (channel 181) networks.
